The Pendle Witch Trial 200 and A Bit of a Trial 100 - 28/08/21

Two new calendar events on 28th August from Scotforth just south of of Lancaster.


The Pendle Witch Trial is a 200km (204km), 3.5 AAA route which includes climbs of Oakenclough, Winter Hill, Clough Foot, Pecket Well, Wycoller Valley, Pendle Hill and the Trough of Bowland. A Bit of a Trial is 100km (114km), 2 AAA route still offering some stiff climbs but also providing a generous lower limit of just 12 kph and a relaxed 09:30hr start. It still goes over Oakenclough, Pendle Hill and the Trough of Bowland while adding the lovely crossing of Harrop Fold. Of course with such climbs come great descents too! Both routes converge (for the second time) at Newton in Bowland for the last section back to Scotforth.


Events will be run with Covid in mind so you are encouraged to make use of the new ebrevet app to limit need for receipts. Info controls/receipts will still be available though. Numbers will be limited to just 30 riders on each route. I will close entries once the ceiling is reached and there will be no entries on the line. If you are interested in either event please don't delay!
