Selle SMP Drakon Saddle Question

I have in my possession, an amazingly comfortable saddle called a Selle SMP Drakon.

It has a leather covering over the dense foam and nylon-carbon base. (So not a thick hammock like a Brooks)

What leather feed would be suitable? I DO NOT want to soften the leather which will reduce its lifespan. Thank you.

SMP saddle’s adhesive can come away quite easily so be careful what you put on it. Dillglove told me it was the most common warranty issue and was mainly cause by chamois cream.

SMP sell leather wipes.

Cheers. This is from Dillglove. A joy to deal with Debbie. Thanks for this advice. So if the leather was damaged due to chamois, is this covered by their warranty?

I’ll try and find these wipes or speak to Debbie.

Don’t worry. I’ll have a look. I thought maybe you had been through warranty stuff with Debbie. I’m just being cautious as I use creams. Thank you.

I have been through a warranty with Debbie but on my unpadded forma. It developed play in the rail. It was fixed and back with me in about 2 weeks. Great service from dillglove as usual.

Great to know. Second saddle I’ve had from Dillglove and contemplating how be for my tourer. Just sold a bike on eBay for more than I thought so this is a possibility.
