Adding a new folder?

Is there a way to add a new folder to my etrex20 within the gps section?
I have a series of different routes to get to different places and was hoping rather than scrolling through endless gpx files on the thing to just click on a folder with a specific destination and pick one of the various routes to get there.
I once tried using the pc to add a "Tour" folder with my routes in there but it didn't register on the garmins screen.

I don't think it would work.
Because when you access a Track in the Garmin menus, you aren't actually accessing the GPX file itself - it has already been translated into the GPS internal memory and that is what you see in the menus.
