Fascinating article on 1930's British artists centred around Barbara Hepworth, that segues into modern architecture, & had me gawping at flats in the Isokon building https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0vYv8aREG4 & then led me onto the despair* of "The Modern House". https://www.themodernhouse.com/sales-list/

I want this one: https://www.themodernhouse.com/sales-list/outhouse/

A house for dysunctional families and/or criminals. I've seen enough Scandi-noir to know this.

Can't be - there's no mention of the Parsnip of Serendipity or the Yellowed Thong of Ambition... ;D

Don't tell him what we get up to when he's not there!

The advertising hoardings in the Signac look remarkably modern.

It still looks like the future 48 years on, so destroying it is in a way very 2021.

I picked up a surprisingly cheap set of DVDs of the first series of Pullman's 'His Dark Materials', the current BBC version. It is a very mixed bag, but I have enjoyed spotting little bits of Wales that I know, such as the stretch of wave-carved platform near Southerndown/Dunraven on the Ogmore coast, the same stretch I used as a cover picture for my book 'Sisters', as well as trying to spot the CGI joins where the jagged and snowy peaks erupt out of the Brecons.

Some of the performances are excellent, while some are not. I am finding Mr Cosmo to be rather ligneous, for example.

I will admit to some distraction in the dresses worn by the villainous 'Mrs Coulter', as they are rather gorgeous.

Yes, I know. I just love that style.
