Well you have the traffic cone hat.

Some are born great, others ...

Are you imploring me to come up with a route?  I quite like the idea of the PoW as it's dangerously close to the infamous Hagg Hill. Mind you I might not stay for pint #3 as I've got a bit of a day on Thursday.

I am imploring you to do a route that involves Maldon and Little Totham.

Hagg Hill and PoW sounds like a trip in itself, but a good one.

Maldon, not Little Totham but including Hagg Hill (short and steep) plus the PoW at Stow Maries CLICK and ENJOY.  But in the route's defence it is less it is less than 30 miles for the Witham Peloton

Doggers informs me he won't be joining us although he will get the Hello Kitty kitty to Andy.  I have yet to find out his excuse for yet another no show.

I *might* be out tomorrow. Depends on various things, including the state of the weather forecast!
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Damp but might dry out between 8 and 9pm.  Thundery showers at 6pm.

### FORWARD PLANNING ALERT ### (OAKY, PLEASE AVERT YOUR EYES)

I know a few folks from the Colchester Cycling Campaign but don't get to see them that often.  I have been in FB conversation with a couple and arranged to meet at Colchester's Hospital Arms (also an unvisited GBG pub   ) on the evening of Wednesday 30th September.  If the MEMWNS peloton fancied a raid on CO postcodes that evening it would be just lovely.

PS: there talk of curry too  :demon:   :o

I won't be out tonight, you may select one or more of the following for my excuse/reason:
  • Pesky colonials
  • Can't be arsed
  • Bike roadworthiness
  • Insert one of your choice
At least I didn't make up something like - waiting in for a rabbit hutch to be delivered

But you're going to miss all the sunny weather!  :o  And I have just taken delivery of a front lowrider rack which I might have time to bolt on before we set off.  Therefore Fred will be EVEN heavier!  See what you'll be missing???

Smashing, we'll finalise details nearer the time lest we rally wind poor Oaky up.

By the way, Doggers isn't coming out tonight as it's his 10th wedding anniversary - which I suppose is a valid excuse.

Yep, I granted them a special dispensation on the understanding there would be no tongues until they were both 16 years old.

I'm under orders to stay at home tonight, I've yet to decide whether to ignore this order. If i do as I'm told I'll get the kitty kitty to the roundabout at 7.30.

It's what rainlegs were made for, tonight. And it's dark so no-one will see...until we get to the pub and strip off.

Oh...and just to add.....I think the micro pub followed by the Blue Boar is a cracking plan  ;D. I won't be going to Stow Maries if I join.

I'm inclined to agree.  Stow Maries and Hagg Hill can wait for another day.

A decent number swam/rode out through the floods last night.

When I arrived at the micro pub (The Farmer's Yard), the Benevolent Dictator, JenM, AndyQuaffer, Ian (the something commuter OTP ?) and TippersKiwi were taking up pretty much the whole micro area.  We were soon joined by the ever intrepid Tomsk.

Once we had all got over the rain legs sported by OD and Tomsk, we enjoyed a selection of Pucks Folly, Nelson's Blood and Molliette.  Kicking out time is 9pm so we abandoned the Stow Marie's plan and headed for the Carpenter's Arms.  Another great find as it turned out.  With an eclectic music policy ranging  from Motörhead to Squeeze and a decent selection of ales, it has been marked down for a full visit in the future.

A visitation on the way home just about rounded the evening off
