EEek! David's dad lives 3 miles from Hurn and his central heating is very dodgy.

Some cloud cover has come over now and our thermometer claims -7. Shoeburyness has risen to -4.5. My daughter has arrived home on a train an hour late. Evidently the wrong sort of frost.

Well that was a new experience and not one I particularly wish to enjoy again. Got home last night and my eyeballs were so cold they were stinging sore.

Cloudy this morning and the temperature is well up. Still below freezing though - no sign of any ice melting.

I've brought the thermometer in to give it a good talking to.

Luckily most of my commute is on busy urban roads so ice is mostly gone now.  Still a bit of a problem in some of the residential streets nearer home where the ice is solidly sheeted right across the road.
As my bike is broked at the mo’ I’m on the hybrid which is prolly a good thing.  

I’ve been somewhat amused to see pavement cyclists struggling through the ice on the pavements while I glide past on a clear road.
