Waiting for my ~~chauffeur~~ brother to arrive for our trip to the market (already postponed once). In the mean time, I am downloading an OpenStreetMap which I will attempt to load onto my shiny new Garmin eTrex30.

Being in an awkward gap between me getting in, late and tired, and MrsC getting in, even more late and even more tired.
At least I've been enjoying myself; she's had to go back into work.

Trouble is I don't know whether she will want any or all of a glass of wine, a mug of cocoa or biscuits when she does get here and I don't want to start without her--or get the choice wrong!

Taking my blood pressure.... strangely, its considerably lower when sitting at home (150/90 with a pluse of 62) than it was at the doctors the other day (180/100 with a pluse of 102!).

White coat syndrome one thinks!!!

Getting ready to ride out with Watson's Wanderers from near Chester. Harry Watson is a cycling hero. He is 83yrs old now, has never owned a car, has cycled over 675,000 miles and can still put in 100 mile rides. The rest of the group are mere youngsters aged between 55 and 75 yrs. We ride out every Tuesday into Cheshire, Shropshire and/or North Wales.

Anyway, I saw a girl desperately perusing the cards in Tescos in central Brum at lunchtime!

There was only crap left - or so I gathered from her panicky, exasperated manner.

last week's weight gain is encouraging me to take a more serious attitude towards weight loss.I'm even contemplating riding a bike more than once in while

I think a self-imposed commute would be beneficial & a return to audaxing,knee permitting,would be good now that the (hopefully) worst of the winter weather is behind us.
That was a brave/foolish/temptating-fate comment

I'm trying to put a stop to this "thinking" lark....
I have thoughts of an attempt at an SR series & resurrecting a RRTY campaign.
I'm trying to overcome the thought that my mind is writing cheques that my ~~body~~ knee can't cash.

I suppose there's only one way to find out

jogler, I couldn't make it round a 200 at the mo, but could possibly manage a relatively leisurely 100 in a month or so once I've hopefully got a few more miles done. Shout up if you want company.
