Having been woken at silly o'clock (7 is far far too early when I am not at work) by Mrs T, stumbling about the bedroom, getting ready for work, I have decided to go and make ANOTHER coffee.

Just arrived in the office. I didn't expect to be able to get here at all but the trains were running pretty well...until a broken down train ahead of us delayed everything by about an hour on the approaches to London Bridge. I feel like I have had enough today already!

Standing on a full commuter train out of London. Someone insisted on giving up their seat fpr my grandad. And three people offered me their seats. I thought you London lot were all supposed to be barstards?

I'd probably consider doing the same were it not for the fact that most of the snow is now, in fact, incredibly corrosive, slushy gunge. I have no intention of subjecting Pugsley to that, and will probably ride the singlespeed to work tomorrow instead.

Instead, I'm multitasking: importing OSM data into the 'puter (still) and tidying up the worst of the living room in readiness from a visit from a BT engineer on Wednesday, after which I will hopefully have high-fibre broadband.

Remotely fettling the OpenStreetMap-processing Babbage Engine.

It has been rendering tile data since yesterday evening, which isn't necessarily an issue as I expected the initial run to take a couple of days. However, it turned out that two of the CPU cores are throttled by default

Well, they ain't throttled any more ...

Sugar is delightfully simplistic, a bit too simplistic for me, though.

KDE is an old dog that needs taking out back and shooting
