I fell off my chair & hurt myself laughing at the notion of me doing a 300km audax atm..
I doubt that I could do 300km in 3 days right now.However that will change: I have a hot date in 2013

Thanks to spending the last 12 years carefully teaching Mrs Mike that I'm rubbish at shopping, I've been parked at a harbour-front bar in crete with firm instructions to the barman not to let my glass run empty before she's done.

In an Internet Cafe in Truro, waiting for a bus.  Have just stumbled off the Sleeper from London.  Ok, so a 14.5 hour journey from Derby to a remote village on the North Cornwall Coast is excessive in this day-and-age, but the sheer novelty of getting the bulk of the journey done while asleep is worth it.

And the Newquay to Padstow bus is likely to be a double-decker.  So at last I'll be able to see the views - higher than the hedgerows.  Like switching from recumbent to conventional in the rest of the country.

And my Brompton-spotting count is +1.  A green one alighted the sleeper day coaches at Truro.

Just got in from a day in dat dere Lundun filiming in a bar for Rogue Traders. Lots of waiting and BBC1 style slapstick. I was one of the lucky ones by all accounts - at least I got a kitchen out of the bastards we were nailing - Rock Solid Kitchens, in case you want to know.

I stuck to the margins with the pantomime stuff and I'm not sure I'll feature too much on the final version. We'll see. Bit of a waste of a day, all in all...
