Kid has finally gone to sleep.  Have managed to get through the first part of the work I was doing but now stuck on parts two and three - the bits I should be finding easy.  Argh.

Actually, it's worse than just "work": I'm not actually employed at the moment, but if I do this stuff well, I could be at the end of it, and off Jobseekers Allowance.  I am stressing myself out something rotten over it, as you might imagine; living off benefits sucks major hairy... things.  Let's say "yetis".

Thinking that it's probably a good thing that Tiermat and TLD didn't come to York for a bike ride with EldestCub and me today.  Although obviously it would be preferable for TLD to not be poorly, it isn't very good bike-riding weather out there today!

And trying to decide if I should get on my bike and go out in the rain to the pool for a swim.  It's really rather soggy out there....

We had a flying visit from youngest daughter this morning, coming to help herself to some crockery and stuff for when she moves into her new place in a couple of weeks. No problem with her taking the stuff - some of it was already hers and we've got too much anyway - but the totally ungracious and self-centred attitude she showed throughout left us open-mouthed.
