Sitting in Emergency. Waiting for an xray of my shoulder so they can work out what's gone awry. Last time I was here was 2 years ago with VeloYellow after he came off his bike. I'm just as impressed with the great staff tonight. Possibly even more so as mine is far less obviously an emergency - no blood or obvious breaks!

All OK. Torn rotator cuff apparently. Glad I went though as it was quite different pain to anything I'd experienced before. Being left arm and having had a Healthy Heart presentation  at work last week I might have panicked a bit when it got worse during the day.  Decided I'd rather be embarrassed than wake up dead (over dramatic - moi?) Slight improvement this morning.

PS I thought the A&E deserved extra points as they were also dealing with the Ashes "crowd" including the chap who kept asking if the finger injury (bite apparently) could just be washed and stitched so he could go home. They maintained their humour which was particularly impressive as they are also moving to a new building this morning and had to deal with what was more like a Saturday night than a Monday.

Mine.  I didn't snap and decapitate an RLJer   Slipped on a thick patch of ice and skinned myself on landing.  Some of me is still attached to the bib tights...

Very glad there's nothing wrong with my right arm other than the skinning.  My left arm isn't quite the same months after being knocked off by a van.  Me knocked off the bike, that is, not my arm knocked off me.
