Avoiding any sitting position which puts pressure on a sore coxis.
I have a pain in the arse (That'll be someone's starter for ten.)

Fish.  Barrel.

I'm hoping that LindaG has a nice little tour.  And wishing a little that I had sorted out something so that I could head up to meet her today....

Aching.
I rode in on Morticia the 1x1 (née The Bat Bike) and spent the last mile or so riding with a badly slipping seatpost. Although I've sorted the seatpost out my back is aching magnificently as a result. Nice ride in though - tried a slightly different route involving more cycle track and I think I'll be sticking with it.

Building servers, watching the window cleaner clean windows (duh!) and getting all excited 'cos our Foo Fighters tickets have just arrived :)
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

I'm currently wondering why Metcheck is showing what the weather was or will be on 29th May?

Making a long-overdue appointment with an optiquack, after catastrophic glasses failure at the weekend.

I went and saw one of them yesterday, and should have new glasses in a week or so.

I am now 300 quid poorer.

I could have bought a bloody bike for that!

That's more or less what happened on the last few occasions the lens fell out.

Threadlock won't cure the creeping inadequacy of my 4-year-old prescription, though, so needs must...

In fairness, it was 7 years since I bought these, which was also when I had my last eye test.  And the pair before had done for 5 years.  And the pair before were bought when I was still at uni.

I'm still slightly concerned that I went and chose glasses without a responsible adult to look after me.  Glasses shopping is worse than shoe shopping - and you live with the consequences of the decision for a lot longer.  I did, whilst thinking of you, go and look at the ti frames but I didn't like any of them, btw.

Agreed.  And sensibly unfashionable glasses frames are too thin to have a Kim-observable colour, which means even more blind guesswork than usual.

Ach!  Don't give me ideas like that!

Have you tried the Threadlock on the ciliary muscle?  ;)

Is that how much a pair of glasses is nowadays, £300 ?

Do they still do NHS ones. I loved them NHS glasses that Morrisey donned as did my dad

I have recentley started going bog eyed and £300 ain't in my budget. If they have NHS ones that make ya look like Dame Edna Everage then so be it.

Take friend with camera for hopelessly short sighted new frame choosing WIN :-)

Last time I just took infinitely more stylish friend with strong opinions and did what I was told.

I don't think Pingu would describe himself as stylish or strongly opinionated (not in a style sense anyway), but he did to take photies.

I can't remember how much my glasses were, my first, and only pair, are over ten years old, and I only wear them in the car, so I'm not too worried about how I look with them on. ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

On a train in Sweden.  How come they get free wifi, lots of power sockets and cool magnetic blinds, and we dont?
