The live tracking for the Transantlantic Way Race
http://trackleaders.com/transatlantic17
A familiar name from PBP is in the lead with just over 400 miles ridden since 10am yesterday. Last year's winner sits a close second and Audax uk Ivan Cornell sits in a top 20 place.

The weather has been decidedly Irish, or audaxy.
Everybody's in utilitarian gear, frequent electronic failure, riders lost and found on the real-time tracker, a guy puts raw rice in waterproof bag.
-
Yep and Bjorn first man back on PBP clocks up 1900km after 106 hours with last year's winner 160km back. Rear of field has managed 667km. Weather is guaranteed.

Enjoying the race unfolding. James Hayden has done some informative briefings that can be seen on the TAW site.
-
average speeds quite low by their standards - Bjorn averaged ~28km/hour in PBP 2015, testament to the brutal route and conditions
-
Conditions were typical west coast but yes it's a very hilly route. Stunning landscapes mind.
