The one enormous tackle I recall was against France. It was probably a Grand Slam decider and I think it was Jean-Pierre Bastiat, "18 stones on the hoof", who came steaming down the wing, the line seemingly at his mercy. I have never seen such a huge player so comprehensively felled.

He was indeed a great player.

I saw the Jet Propelled Rhino at Murrayfield a couple of times.

Never to be forgotten.
It is simpler than it looks.

I saw him play live a few times. The last one, I think, was 1976 At Twickers. 26 - 11 and JPR scored between the posts.
