Mikey's new wheels...
« on: 23 June, 2009, 11:44:21 pm »
The new wheels on my Fujin SLII.  I've ridden some miles with the HED front so far, but haven't had a chance to try the bike with the 650c carbon clincher disc rear yet.

You can strain your spinach on them too!  ;D

I hope so, I've not had a chance for a proper ride with the rear yet!  The front makes a sort of whirring/fluting noise that's quite distinctive at above 20mph.

...sadly I can't really hear much noise from the rear wheel.  The front is definitely talking though.

The combination is great so far, with slightly higher cruise speeds for me, and noticeably higher downhill speeds.  I think I'm getting 1 or 2 km/hour on the flat at above 32km/hour, and 3 or 4 km/hr on the fast downhills.  Mostly the joy comes from the pose factor of course.  ;)

Have you taken the box off? I am very pleased with the box but regret I have already dinged it through a fall on concrete. Shame.
Lovely wheels - they look seriously the biz. With the box on too you will sound like you have an engine running there.
