Looking for travel insurance that covers delays and cancellations and covers tech when on holiday from theft.
Looking for a whole year, who would you recommend?

Check what cover, if any, you might have as a privilege from your Bank Account.
If I did not have MS, I think I'd have adequate cover as part of my pricy banking.
No point duplicating these things.

If cycling's involved, one without silly rules about helmets.

If you have BC membership you get a discounted rate (-10%) via Bikmo.
Since they're affiliated with BC they're probably pretty good though I've yet to use them myself https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/travelinsurance
Though the feedback is good https://www.feefo.com/en-GB/reviews/bikmo
Cycling UK also offer a similar deal with a different supplier https://www.cyclinguk.org/member-benefits/cyclecover-travel-insurance

When we needed to claim on holiday insurance: AXA, who my insurance was with, tried their best to weasel out of what they were contracted to pay; whereas Fortis, who underwrit my wife's free 'coz bank account' policy, were understanding and courteous (they made one mistake with a reciept that was in Euros not pounds, but made the adjustment once pointed out).

Is cycling an extreme sport ::-)
Don't have anything with bank accounts as all mine a freebies.

Yes, worth checking your banking details. Mrs Q and I have European travel cover, albeit slightly basic, with our Nationwide current account as standard. They give us various paid for options to upgrade cover for dangerous sports, higher value items etc.

Try Pedalcover if you want to include cover while cycling.
We've got house insurance with them, but their travel cover looks sensible - no idea about prices though.

Not helpful, but I’ve just cancelled our annual family insurance because:
1) Found out everyone has to live in the same house always (sorry, but it’s four related people going on holiday, two parents, two young people just setting out in life - you know the risks.)
2) Your letter had no reply address, no web address, no email account. Premium phone number only.
3) New quote 50% higher than last year, with no change in circumstance.
4) we aren’t not planning to go on family holiday this year...
OK, fine Sir.
No attempt to fight for the business at all. Which means, simply, that they’ve screwed us and don’t care if we don’t want to get screwed again.
To misquote a punk song, and not give away the gouging bastards...
OH LV, UP YOURS!

I've used True Traveller, they're fairly sensible about most things.
