Fully expecting to be lanterne rouge on this - I've not done much cycling recently, and what I have done has been painfully slow! :-\

You won't be. I think I've booked that slot.

It's be like When I'm 64 all over again! ;D

Not really.
I'm not going to be there, it'll (probably) not snow and you won't be nearly killed to deth by a VW Polo.

Have a good ride .

Packing up now, and as per usual for West Coast of Scotland trips, I've packed everything from my Bikini to my wetsuit and snorkel.
I've heard the organiser is currently digging potatoes and turnips and onions out of the frozen ground to feed you all.

I'm packing too - early train up north in the morning.

I'm hoping my cunning plan of taking lots of waterproofs and no sunscreen foils the weather gods. :-\

I'm mostly packed and now worrying about what I've forgotten.  Oooh I haven't put my bikini in yet.

I'll be on the 12.21 train from Glasgow (and before that Leeds - Edinburgh).  Aiming for the Invercoe campsite, so do say hello if you are there.
Think it possible that you may be mistaken.

The Teesside/Darlo contingent will be mustering with coffee and pies at early O'Clock in Darlo tomorrow, before the long long drive North.

I should be in Glencoe mid-late afternoon, depending on how long I faff about in Fort William first. Will head over to the Clachaig in the evening.

Got the route in my Etrex and my Edge and printed out the routesheet. I'll probably still get lost. ;D

I aim to be in the Clachaig early evening.
I'll be messing around with kit at the SYHA from late afternoon.

I'll probably stick on a YACF top over my street clothes for a while, because I won't recognise anyone.
Say hello if you see me.

(I'll be riding in an Audax Ecosse top on Saturday, if conditions allow! I only have a short-sleeve version.)

Good luck with this Ben. It looks a great event, but I'm nearer home riding from Tewkesbury tomorrow.

Organiser and chief cook are both heading up from Edinburgh this evening.  Much baking has been taking place this week.

We might look into the Clachaig this evening, but first priority will be to get the hall key and set up for the morning as far as possible.

I'm planning to come over on the Corran Ferry - with riders on the 0750 if space permits - but either way I plan to leave the event HQ around 0725 in the team car to make sure everybody gets on the 0750 ferry and get a few snaps of everybody.  I may also lurk with a camera between Ardgour and Lochaline.

My first audax in over a year and what a ride ! Thanks to Graeme and his family of helpers for putting it on.

Managed to just miss a ferry 3 times  :P which in fact made it a much more social ride. I didn't doze off on the last ferry for chatting to folks

Yes, cracking day out.
74 starters, if I remember correctly.

Only a few heavyish showers, otherwise the sun poked through a few times during the day, and by late afternoon it was quite glorious.

Like sg, I managed to mis-time the ferries and had a bit of waiting around.
We spent about an hour and a half in the pub in Craignure, which was the only place open.
Some folks had a proper meal there, but I thought I'd wait and eat on the ferry.
That was a mistake: we got the smaller ferry which doesn't really have catering.

Got shouted at by oiks in cars at Ganavan car park.
Nice run up from Oban had me run out of energy with about 20k to go, so I dropped off the back and took my time for the last bit.

Welcome soup (with *exactly* the right amout of pepper in it ;-))and cake at the end, thanks to G and his crew for running such a great event.

Cracking route - enjoyed that, thanks Graeme. Never cycled around there before but it's stunning. Good cakes at the end, too (had to try them all, of course). That made up for dropping 3/4 of my Chomp bar on the road on the last leg from Oban. ;D

Amazing ride!  Many thanks to Graeme and team, especially for feeding my parents tea and cake when they appeared at the arrivĂ©e (...how old do you have to be before they stop embarrassing you? ;) ).

sg: mcshroom and I only just missed one ferry but we were very definitely bringing up the rear so perhaps your strategy was better!

I've put a few pics on the Book of Face.
