Jillian Bearden... discuss

My (not) wife has very strong views on Jillian Bearden and other trans sportspeople. I am a little more nuanced but in general agreement that this isn't a level playing field and that the new IOC and UCI rules are not based in reality.

Let her take part, but then ban her for having abnormally high testosterone levels?

It's a mine field, but then the only issue is men trying to compete in women's sports and as none cares about women's sports it doesn't really matter does it?

All elite athletes are genetic freaks to some extent. Top cis-women in endurance sports probably have above average testosterone levels. Unless they're actually trying to cheat, I can't see why trans people can't compete in their chosen gender.
I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo

Intense endurance exercise tends to lower testosterone levels. Elite female endurance athletes have at least an order of magnitude less testosterone than men. The IOC testosterone limits seemed reasonable to me.
