Ok - we did most of the horseshoe from Pen-y-pass.  Crib Goch in very very heavy cloud, then the rest of the ridge. I didn't fancy navigating the rest of the horseshoe in heavy cloud (map was getting soaked, couldn't see 20ft) so we came back down via the Pyg track.

Crib Goch was fantastic, but not for anyone who can't cope with some basic climbing. It's not possible to walk all of it (although the ridge is mostly walkable). Some people sensibly turned back at the first step.

I used two sticks for the first time and my ankle and hip are fine. Brilliant, because that means I can face longer walks someday. Teh Boy is talking about doing winter walking now.
