Bus passes in London area

Having reached maturity    I have one of these new-fangled "national" free bus passes ... any bus, anywhere >0930 ....

Does the scheme also apply in London (on what used to be called London Transport ... those chaps with the red Routemasters)?

I know it doesn't work on the tube, nor does my Senior Railcard unless I buy a "through ticket" from the proper train.

No urgency, I don't think I've been to London yet this year ... but I may need to go in August and it would be nice to ride for free rather than buy my own tube train pay the fare for the tube train

Yep, you can use the buses in London! And they're pretty good these days in terms of frequency and regularity.
