Bullet Cameras

I'm seriously thinking about setting up my bike with a couple of bullet cameras feeding into a SpaceCam SS1000 split screen box, and thence onwards into a solid state recorder of some species (one camera forward looking, one rearward).

What sort of cameras do people think would be best on a bike?  I want to go for a combination of decent enough image quality, waterproof, cheapish (well, not to expensive anyway!), easy to mount.  I was wondering whether it made any sense to use B&W instead of colour to save costs?  How wide angle is likely to be sensible on a bike, 90°, 120°, wider, different view angles front and rear?

Suggestions for what I should be looking for, and who is best to get them from would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of putting the whole lot (with batteries) into a small Peli case, so it doesn't really matter where I put it, since it'll be waterproof, and damned near driveoverable.
Actually, it is rocket science.
