Title: Pair of Kirtons: 8th June 2019
Post by: Graeme on 01 November, 2018, 03:35:00 pm
Mike Wigley's Pair of Kirtons is back... and once again I'll be praying for good weather. Not because I care about you lot, but because being the Controller at the Green Dragon in Welton is much more fun if I get to sit in the sunshine, having a beer and stamping brevet cards.

I thought this was an easy ride... but when I tried it as a Perm I failed to complete it. Possibly heat stroke: I found myself throwing up beside the road about 5km outside Stone at 1am. Next year, when I do this as a helper ride I'll be treating the route with a lot more respect.

Really enjoyed this ride when I did it (2017 mebbe) but sadly that’s a working weekend for me in 2019. Can strongly recommend it to everyone else though
