Any more on your list of CAMRA pubs OD, or good'uns to revisit?

Oaky suggested the Axe and Compasses at Aythorpe Roding as one on his to do list.....Maldon would be good too, though. Lots of good pubs there....

So what's the plan for tomorrow night folks?

I can't get away early today, so a trip to the seaside is probably out for me. There's always the Compasses if a decision is too hard  ;D

Huggy, if you're coming I'll bring your G&Y brevet card.

Just heard from Slippy, he can't make tonight so lets go to The Compasses.  Huggy can collect his brevet and Tom can thrill us all with his exploits on the Bryan Chapman.

What time does the Witham peloton want to leave and from where?

If the peloton is thee & me we can meet at the usual RVP at the end of your road at 19:30, then pick up Oaky at 19:40 if he's coming out to play this evening.
I'm assuming the well ridden path of TMNH and through Boreham en route to Littley Green for 21:00 ETA.

I won't be coming out to play tonight, on account of me cooking tea for mrs_o's birthday :)

I'm going for a perfect 0 on the falling-off-stakes  unless Tomsk is watching and then all bets are off
Suggest this route again, as it was orignially plotted by Oaky it is significantly short on comedy off roading and particularly poor road surfaces (for mid-Essex roads anyway)  ::-)

Just back from riding the LEL prologue in lovely London traffic, with Fidgetbuzz and Mr LEL himself.

Decided we weren't dressed correctly to stand a chance of gate-crashing the garden party at Mrs Windsor's London Residence.

I'll be along at 9-ish.

Dear me, you simply weren't audacious enough.  Had you pointed out to HRH's people that you were a bunch of acclaimed long distance riders, veterans of the PBP and LEL plus a fistful of other audacious rides you'd of been whisked in as guests of honour!!!

That's because you're a year older!  But remember, with age come wisdom.  I think I'm living proof of that maxim.

It looks a perfect day for a Compasses visit, is anyone else going?  I'll likely be there later in the day after doing a local tan-topping route

Is anything happening this Weds? It's half-term and at the moment I have no commitments. This could, of course, change in the twinkling of a telephone.
