;D that Gentle breeze that was waving the trees better F**k right off before Friday!

The forecast suggests a moderate easterly which could be worse.  But it might be wet.  I'll be thinking of you all

Is there a plan for tomorrow night?

This is a Good Question. I may be interested, either by car or bike, depending on weather, distance, lethargy and whether my chauffeur fancies a trip out.

Via the magic that is BlackBerry Messenger Huggy has just voted for The Compasses, which I think was the original plan.  I happy with that idea as well.

Any voices of dissension?

Via the magic that is Facebook Messenger will enquire whether The Keeper of the Purse is joining us.  Wait one ...

I have just searched the archives and I have a route to The Compasses that I don't think ever got ridden.  It cleverly passes Tomsk's house!  Clicky.

The weather tomorrow evening is looking to be especially shite so I would imagine that my presence will be dependent upon a motor and a chauffeur to get me home.

Is that tearful smiley because of the weather, OD?

I have motorised transport and I have a willing chauffeur in the form of Dez. Perhaps if the odious tick Simon Heffer puts in an appearance I can pour beer over him.

Either swing by our house, or I'll meet you somewhere for a cheeky pint en-route? Angel and Harp? Or any GBG pubs in Dunmow or ones you've never been to ['Kicking Dicky'?]

That route does look particularly gratuitous and with a robust headwind most of the way we may arrive at the Compasses by about 10pm, it'll be a breeze on the way home though!

Due to the wonderful world of IT not doing as its supposed to I will not be able to make it out this week, instead I have to stay home and hope we can beat the systems in to submission sufficiently to finish what should have happened Tuesday night  >:(

That's not very good. We will raise a glass in your honour. At least you've saved yourself a battle with the wind.

Hmmm, I wondering if a bit of route trimming might be in order, bearing in mind Mrs T and young Soupy are joining us.  How long does it take to get from your house to The Compasses via a reasonably direct but not A road route?

8 miles via the Braintree Road, Felsted, Hartford End - about 40 minutes?

Change of plan, as per my telecon with Tomsk just now I will lead the Witham peloton to the House of Tomsk and then Tomsk can lead us to The Compasses.  We should be at the HoT by 8:30 to 8:45 so we should be in the pub by about 9:30ish.

Of course! Not sure when we are leaving yet. What time are the cyclists expecting to be there?

Edit: just read OD's post. Shall we leave at about 8, Del? That should get us there for around 9, I reckon. Do you ant to come here or shall we pick you up somewhere?

I said above we should be at the pub by 9:30pm but Huggy has been ripping the pi55 via BBM suggesting my ETAs are, as usual, wildly optimistic, particularly bearing in mind the wind.

So, we'll see you when we see you
