I'm going to the Compasses at Littley Green tomorrow evening with at least one Dunmovian. Probably be there around 8.30pm.

mrs_o is out tomorrow night so I won't be able to join you I'm afraid.

I got the e-mail too.  I'm now trying to work out when I can get over there to collect mine.  It won't be an evening this week and at the weekend we are well busy - bugger  >:(

Had a good ride with my pal David to The Compasses on Tuesday and thinking of riding to The Square and Compasses, Fuller St, next Wednesday, with as many Flitchbikes riders as I can muster.
After that, to continue the 'Essex Mystery' theme we'll have to go to the next 'Compasses' on the line at Gt Totham! Maybe. Inexplicably, some of these racing snakes don't seem too keen on night riding. ???

I may well join you there -- I will need to come home first, even so, 8:30 ish is easy to achieve :)

Tomsk, chief, Tomsk's club-mate (David?) and myself in attendance at the Square and Compasses.

Stokers ale, and a nice brew from the Brentwood brewery were well appreciated.

My 25th MEMWNS.  And my fastest to date.

Overall:-
Code: [Select]
name                                            distance  fastest  avg_speed  count
yacf mid-Essex mid-week nocturnal series        27.64     17.3     13.2       25

Tonight:- 25.78 miles at 17.3 mph (the leg to the pub was 19.15 miles at 17.2 mph - I didn;t expect the average to go anywhere but down on the way home, but I guess the slight overall downhill, and the quality carbohydrates must have worked their magic).

Oops, I'm sat here on the sofa drinking wine watching the telly. I think this must mean I'm a "no" for tonight!

Ditto, plus I only got home from that London just before 9pm owing to a trackside fire near Shenfield.  Even if I'd been intending to go out I'd have been scuppered.

I got off at shenfield, with the plan of doing a DIY,  MEMWNS ( basically a bit of a bike ride with a pint or 2 at the compasses :P) Plans were wrecked when I realised I had some how gone round in a big circle before the Easters. By the time I found my bearings, it was to late and dark so nipped down to chelmsford where Mrs Andyf picked me up in the car(because of the trains), still 37miles with Avg Spd of 18.04mph was a good ride
(next time Iam swiping Mrs Andyf's satnav, as it's the 2nd time i seem to have missed it :demon:)

I believe I have a pass for next Weds.

I may have my Compasses jersey by then having picked it up on Sunday on OD's guided ride if all is well.

I thought it might be wet but according to the forecast it won't. I wasted a whole £7 on those Denim Rainlegs. Never worn them yet.

Oh, but don't they serve well as part of your Gay Icon wardrobe?
