At Roots farm shop, Chorizo jam.

Hard to explain just what it is like, but it is gorgeous with a cheese board.

Hang on isn’t that one of those things that  takes longer to do pre-packaged then from scratch ? Just chop up veggies scatter with herbs and olive oil and stick in the oven.
I do a mean one with added chorizo and chicken thighs. Fast and easy tea.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Not when you can neither go to the shops nor use a knife...

Anyway, I certainly can't get 500 grams of these vegetables, with no scraps, for £1.50

Isn't it in the keeping as well?.  I buy Tesco frozen blueberries, mango chunks and cherries (yummy)  so I've always got them to hand as I use them as additions to other stuff like porridge, whereas fresh they'd go off before I used them

This^^^ in spades.
Stuffs will keep forever in my freezer or three days in the fridge.

That stuff with cheese at your place was amazing.  Just fabulous.

Slow cooker cider pork.

Fantastic on so many levels. No need to be faffing about for ages cooking it. Only 4 ingredients. Tastes divine.

Yes, we always have some of these (well, normally the Tesco or Waitrose versions as the shops are closer) in the freezer. I hate chopping vegetables...
