I got Haribo from Wiggle!   Along with some new gloves and overshoes.

Now that I have all sorts of lovely bad-weather gear it will be warm and dry on this week's FNRttC.  You can thank me later.  :)

Employer has at last joined the Bike to Work scheme  :)

Less good: Condor are not participating in this particular variant (Bikes for the NHS)  :( I fancied a Tempo.

1. Old El Paso dinner kits are safe to eat again - they've finally excised the partially hydrogenated fats from the tortillas.

2. Williams and Glyn's Bank is coming back  :o
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Cash from the sale of our second car has been banked, and there are no plans to spend it on another car.

That is very good news (not least that there is actually cash after such a transaction).

Good news 1:  I have just received a lovely copy of Merrie England by Nunquam.

*deafening bemused silence*

OK, so Nunquam was Robert Blatchford, the man who founded & edited The Clarion.  He went a wee bit barmy in his latter years, but this book is about his experiences that drew him to socialism.

Even better, this is a 1977 facsimile reprint, so it looks great, and I can read it without feeling guilty about the sort of things that happen to books in my bag :-[

But i have wanted a copy of this for soooooo long.  And now I have it.  Thanks to our wonderful neighbour who kindly takes in parcels for us more often than one could reasonably expect, and is always cheery and charming

Good news 2:  Butterfly has made barm brack, and brought me a lovely warm slice fresh from the oven, and with melted butter.  Oh my word it is lovely :)

And so is she :) :-* :)

I hope this is not tempting fate but......today we have finished 6 weeks of 24/7 working & can take a breather.
A couple of weeks rest & another 3 projects as an action replay would feed the capitalist beast very nicely at year-end.

Went successfully through a Gate Review for a €5.5M project.  Only got one CAT3 query from the panel. Answer: Approved.

I've just received a 126mm hub for my Woodrup!

It's a 105 rather than 600, but it's really smooth, and the action on the freehub is good.

A couple of the spoke holes have a bit of history, but not too bad.

Need to get a front hub and, er, Uniglide sprockets... :-\

We moved house at the weekend. Finally, after eight months on the market and about three months sat waiting for our buyers to actually come up with the money, and some shenanigans with the people at the top of the chain wanting to change which retirement home they go to, and some last-minute fun with removals men not turning up.

The next time I move will be in a box! ;D
