Two bridges over the By Brook, the first in Castle Comb, the second downstream at Slaughterford

They laughed when I said I was going to be a stand-up comedian. They're not laughing now.

And finally for today, Dunluce Castle on the Antrim coast. The wind though the 'eye' under the bridge was quite something.

There is a bridge in here if you look hard enough.

A rocking Belgian bridge in Brugges.

The boat lift, with the background of round hills and even rows of trees, looks like a creation of Lego or Playmobil.

A bridge linking Zimbabwe (to the right) with Zambia (opposite) at Victoria Falls, with bonus smidgin of rainbow. This bridge carries pedestrians, vehicles, trains and bungee jumpers.

Over the A563 in Leicester on what the council call 'Route 4' (one day I'll get around to finding out where both ends of it are)

Swinford's comedy toll bridge:

(Actual bridgepr0n would have involved stairs, unfortunately.  For anyone wondering, it's 5p for a car, and bicycles go free.)

As a follow up to my previous 'not a bridge ' post - I now have a bridge!
5/10 to the developers - it's got nice ramps on either side, with anti-slip, but the very bumpy track is accessed by a small kissing gate. You'd not get a pushchair up the ramp on the bridge (too narrow) and I doubt the route meets any kind of disability requirements. (At the far end was a gert big steel gate in a building site, that I nearly broke my arm yanking open)

They've put the ramp on the wrong side, too.  Brits tend to be used to pushing their bike from the left.

I can't see the point of the bridge being raised so high.  The far bank appears slightly higher, but surely a flat ramp would have sufficed.  or do miniature sailing ships need to pass under the bridge?
