On 67, which means I can't go to bed until I get them all.

Some frustratingly colour-based clues...  >:(

I'm struggling with the 4 nuns and whatever the bloke in front of the zebra crossing is carrying.

And, no. I do not want the answers.

Yet.

Thank you  :)

I'm up to 54 I think. Yesterday I resorted to pulling up a list of tube stations and combing through it, and still only solved two more, with a couple suddenly springing to mind anyway.

I've got the mouse though.

The fish is one of those exception that proves the rule type things.

As for the fountain, pay closer attention to the ceramic work...

Bobb and I have managed 41. It's hard if you don't know London well and can't think of any stations named after wizards doing avada kedavra on a hill.

That's one you probably can get - it's been on virtually every second series of ISIHAC since the beginning.

I feel I know London fairly well, but I still had to get a tube map to find a few, and check the official names - one of the answers is "wrong" in that it's no longer the name of the tube station, but everyone calls it by the old name anyway.
Title: Re: Look for longer: tube game

That assumes I've ever seen or heard ISIHAC, which I haven't.

You need to concentrate on what the wizard is doing to the other two people.

Yebbut, but, but a warren is a network of *something else* innit.

..... one of the answers is "wrong" in that it's no longer the name of the tube station, but everyone calls it by the old name anyway.
I'm curious which one you mean, the big one on Euston Road, just before Pentonville Road?

That one - wikipedia suggests it's not been called by the shorter name since somewhere around 1933, so perhaps I'm not being as pedantic as I thought.  ;)

I think I've done reasonably well for someone who has been to London a total of about 5 times, but I'm stumped now on these:

The glue in the road

The bride on the hill

The footballer

Hints gratefully received.

I only got the bride on the hill when I started thinking about London stations I've heard of, which included running through the Monopoly squares in my head.

Bobb and I have now got all of them except the bale of hay on the hill. I did wonder if it was ox-food circus, but it's not.

The bale of hay is a candidate for the "I didn't know it was pronounced like this" thread.

I got the glue one fairly easily. Still haven't a clue about the footballer. Different minds work in different ways I guess, plus you're more likely to get ones which refer to stations  whose names you're familiar with.

I wasted ages with the footballer on the incorrect assumption that the clue required some obvious-to-people-who-know-anything-about-football factoid, probably related to the colour of his kit.

The wig requires some literary knowledge about london dialects.

All done! Although it took me 10 minutes to find one clue and 5 seconds to solve it :)
Were you going round in circles for that one?

No, but it was wright in front of my eyes...

Aaaaaaaaaaaarggh! I've been trying different variations on one theme for the two chess pieces and in the end it turns out to be a bit of a grocer's.

And the fire in the road! I'm sure I was always told by Londoners that it was Barry... Still, only 2 left, I think I'll save them for tomorrow.

Yes, I've got that one. I meant the pronunciation of the place.

Only the fish to go now...  :-\

Playing it on the tablet I'm getting a flag for each clue so it is simple to see where the clues are but it is not helping
me solve them though!

Just halfway through now  :-\

Yes, I've got that one. I meant the pronunciation of the place.

It doesn't help that the answer uses the pronunciation of the spelling of the first half, and the pronunciation that is used of the second half.

Ah - so it is actually pronounced the way I thought it was (a bit like "Barry ..."?)

I had fun with that.  Thanks for posting it.

The hardest part for me was trying to work out what some of the pictures were supposed to be!

Zoom in. Ornamental fountain is not so ornamental.

For most of those, it seems you are almost there. Just play with the words a bit more.

I managed about half without reference to the tube map, then gave in and started randomly casting my eyes over the coloured lines. Only three to go, and they're driving me barmy.

It's taken me 3 days and the use of a list of stations, but I've got all 75.

One of them wasn't on my list.
