Sorry, Mr Carluccio; if you make your spag bol with tagliatelle, it's tag bol.  And whatever happened to the milk?

I think the point is that much like a chicken tika massala is not an authentic Indian dish a spaghetti bolognese is not an authentic Italian dish but a British mash up.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.
