Well, I've entered, but whether I do it or not depends how my leg feels by then.  I'm off work after that oil-related 'off' the other week, and tbh am still in a lot of pain.  My arm still hurts as well  ::-)

I'll be so annoyed if I don't make it, me and daisyhill have huge plans for riding together this year, and we were planning to do this one together after a night at newtoncap's place.  This is another spring that's going pear-shaped due to injury.

I suppose it's just one bike ride isn't it.

Hopefully I'll be better by then.  Mevve see you there A.  Would be nice   :)

I do hope you will be fit to ride.
It wouldn't be nice: it would be ACE.

If you ride I too will definately do it.
In any event I'll be an EOL.

Unfortunately all of the Alfreton rides fall on the wrong weekends for me. Rosies to Wrags and Skeggy are both on weekends I'm running scout camps, Sleepy Villages is the weekend I reach JoG, and the Moors and Wolds is the day before First Communion at church, so I need to be present and awake in Cumbria on Sunday morning. The only Alfreton rides I could make this year is the To the Races 100  in November (which I might be at) or the Victorian Post Boxes 50, which is a bit short to travel from West Cumbria for.  :(

I am looking at riding the Two Battles from Tamworth in April though, hopefully I'll see you there :)

I'll be on car park duty on the morning so will be starting late.  Might not be able to catch many riders up as I am going making a slooooooow start to the year so far.

I'll not be getting it back today so I'll need to be very local to possibly collect it tomorrow. Therefore I'll have to miss this event.

That's a shame, and it looks like being a reasonable day too - albeit with the traditional headwind back from Southwell.

Will you be making it for any of our other rides?

The 3 Fields was part of a plan leading up to this

http://www.alfretonctc.netii.net/rosies200.htm

& depending on how that goes maybe other things.

Do you have any influence with the godofwind:not flatulance. Each time I've done a ride from Alfreton the wind has been without a father on the return ::-)

Last year we has a bulk discount on wind so we thought we'd better use it all up  ;D

Not to windy tomorow :)The only problem with any ride finishing in the west is the likelihood of headwind on the return.

Great day out today & good to see so many familiar & friendly faces!  The early morning drizzle cleared & we had a beautiful day afterwards.  The 1st leg to Bothamsall was a breeze with a decent tailwind & the cakes the ladies put on at the control have to be seen to be believed  :)  The 2nd leg to Southwell was also quite easy & really pleasant in the sunshine (hard to believe its still the beginning of March)  The free control worked really well with so many options for food & saves a load of time.  The 3rd & final leg was a bit of a brute into the headwind & heading back through Kirkby in Ashfield is never great but has to be done.  All in all another great event from Alfreton CTC.  Big thanks to Tom Fox & all his helpers 151 happy cyclists must mean they are doing things right
