I think I would regret it.  ;D

That new Enduro8 still reads 0.0 miles   :-\

Not much fun to be had getting a new bike when you're suffering with a stinking cold and there's 4" of snow in your road  >:(
Although I've managed more miles than the first 6 weeks of last year so I live in hope.

There's many satifying readings within range with a bit of effort this year  8)

These Cateyes turn themselves off, right? What happens if you need to change the battery? I would have thought that 20,000 miles was pushing it for a teeny little battery, no? Would be a shame to lose the figure.

Teeny little lithium batteries can last a number of years in a computer without a backlight.

With some Cateyes, you can enter an Odo setting after replacing the battery - so you can cheat!

Naggers' Cateye is the same as mine.

But what's that letter A in the swirly circle above the hundreds column? I don't recognise that.

"A" and "B" tyre sizes so you can quickly swap it between two bikes.

Reminds me of the time I stopped outside a restaurant to wait for a friend. A waiter or door-greeter or whatever they call these chaps wanders over to inspect my wonderous machine. He looks at my cheap Chinese odo which is set to trip distance, showing a modest and over-precise 27.589 km. "Wow!" He calls over to his colleagues. "Twenty seven thousand five hundred and eight nine km!"  ;D

I just hit this on my commute home.  It's not a terribly good shot, since it occurred in the middle of Tooting Bec common, late at night, where I didn't really want to stop, so I took the shot as fast as I could, and continued on my journey!

7000 miles was what I reckoned I'd do in a year, and I started using the Kaffenback about a year, and a month ago.  The computer mount failed for a while, so until I replaced it, I did at least another 200 miles which hasn't been recorded, and I've also done some cycling on all the other bikes (although not a lot), so 7000 a year is probably about right.
Actually, it is rocket science.

This one amused me this morning.  I just happened to look at it as I was locking the bike up at work, and noticed it was palindromic (if you ignore the decimal point).

Actually, it is rocket science.

I've got used to people looking at me strangely as I take photos of my handlebars in the middle of busy streets  ;D

I completely missed 23456 Miles  :(

But I know it happened when I was cycling from Aldgate to Acton to pick up some training certificates so I was getting paid to cycle while it happened and that makes me feel much better.

That is a very nice bike, Naggers.  Love the mileage pics too, thanks!!

p.s. was having a bit of a test with a chap on a LeMond yesterday, although he didn't win any of them, not even the slight uphill sprints.   :P

This photo is of the computer showing the maximum speed I had achieved that day.

I only had one magnet on the wheel, honest. But I do think the computer might be wrong.

Today at the end of my commute (it says 25001 now). Not bad for a bike bought on 21-2-2009  ;D
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been too many days since I have ridden through the night with a brevet card in my pocket...
