VERY simple music player?
« on: 22 December, 2023, 07:19:58 pm »
I've looked around for a music player for Windows PC but can't find anything that's really basic.

All I want to do is to be able to play, one after the other, tracks in folders that I have created.  The tracks (MP3?) have all been ripped from CDs that I have now disposed of.

Everything I've found wants to take control of the tracks and sort them by artist, album, genre, playlist ... whatever.

I don't want all that crap - I just want to play my tracks in sequence from the folder they are in.

Any suggestions please?

Winamp? Yes, it does have the media library stuff, but you can hide it and just play files/folders if you want.

VLC?

Ah - that seems to work now that it's updated itself with something or other from Microsoft.

Thanks  (I'm now listening to the Phil Spector Christmas Album!)
