Thanks for clearing that up Kirst.

Meanwhile, the Hotel episode went down quite well here. Lets say 7/10.

Given the subtle references to other programmes and the Alan Sugar reference (Amy, with regret - You're fired) I was waiting for a child with a tricycle!

Did anyone hear John Finnimore's Souvenir Programme on Radio 4 tonight, 7.15?  I loved the 'Boy who wants to grow up to be the man who makes the noise of the Tardis' sketch. I just looked and it wasn't there for Listen Again, but if it appears, it's good.

(I also liked the Pooh Honey Addiction sketch, but that's OT)

the last episode - the one in the hotel, scripts are scraping the barrel now.  Not so much a rabbit out of the hat ending, but a recycled one.  Sylvester McCoy had to break Ace's belief in him in the same way to defeat the viking sea god monster in the episode where Nicholas Parsons was munched by buxom young female vampires!  Want my money back.

Yebbut you're the only one who watched that era of Who, so they can get away with it. ;)

Watched it in the 60s.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

True, true, or perhaps more correctly - I'm the only one who will admit to really liking most of the McCoy episodes (apart from the candyman).  I believe that if they'd been allowed to continue back then, we would have had the modern version of the Dr twenty years ago - it was in the McCoy era that they start introducing the dark under currents of back stories concerning what the Dr had done in the past and how he hadn't always got things right: very much the prototype for the current revival versions.

One of the girls at work has pointed out that the Doctor's coat changes as well - she is predicting a second Doctor, one which has to go and is killed

Just watched the Hotel episode.  I really liked that one; much better in my view than the 3 Amys one. More interesting concepts and a better script, I thought

Shades of the 'cube' thinks and I seem to remember an avengers episode 'the house that jack built' but yes enjoyed it.

Yes I loved it this evening, and the ending was intriguing. Also loving Doctor Who Confidential.

I really warmed to james corbyn. I always imagined he was a bit of a git, but he came across as genuinely a happy bloke, which is always a good thing  :)

James C. is good; but I thought the episode was a bit cybermen-lite, and quip heavy...

Am I the only adult here who doesn't watch Dr. Who?

Watched it in the 60s.

I don't.

Dez and Mrs. Wow were watching it yesterday. At the end, I happened to look up (it was on Dez's computer and at my request they were listening with head phones) and I noticed something about BBC Wales on it. Dez explained that ever since it first reappeared, Dr. Who has been made in Cardiff. I retorted that I didn't know it had ever disappeared.

I recall William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee but that was when my interest waned.

Corden.

I just watched this tonight after being away at a wedding last weekend. My interest was waning after 10 minutes, triggered by the pathetic "man can't look after himself when his wife goes away" cliche. Nice to recognise parts of Cardiff though (I missed spectating on some outdoor scenes being filmed for the Christmas special in a park in Rhiwbeina last week - how do people find out about these things?). Cybermen-lite - yes, but good to see see the return of the cybermats (piranha teeth unnecessary btw).

Anyway, season finale tomorrow, where all the loose ends are tied up satisfactorily.  ;)

This is one of those possibilities where they could have a roistering finale which outshines the rest of the series and leaves us wanting more

Or......

There will be a couple of lame assumptions that tidy things up but leave more questions and is totally unsatisfying

This is my expectation.  The second Doctor made of that gunky stuff.

Also, having just seen the trailer
