Spolier alert! This week's Radio Times contains lengthy plot sumaries and pictures of the monsters for every episode of the coming series. >:( I carefully avoided reading them. 8)

I think it was "I'll inform HR" Very cutting. There was a couple of other good lines that had me LOLing, can't remember them now...

Yes it was a little Cbeebies as bumper says, but I think it was necessary to introduce the new companion. I don't over-analyse them now, just enjoy the ride for 45 minutes. Next week's episode looks a bit more menacing.

Looking forward to spending a season finding out the inter-relationship of the three Claras. :D

I loved it, but my dad found it difficult to follow as the background music is so bloody loud. Why do they do that?!

I liked that Clara was using her (natural?) northern-ish accent.

Yes, I found the music intrusive - and I don't normally care about that kind of thing. A few continuity errors as well, especially with regard to the geography of London...

But apart from that, I really enjoyed it.

London's geography was the least of my concerns. If Clara had been explaining to a camouflaged hub where the organisation were located, and was uploaded before the Doctor got back, how did he know where they were?

Interesting, and the one liners were brilliant.

The new assistant seems good, but will there be any snogging?

I also wondered about that but assumed the jump cut just skipped the bit where he must have looked at the screen of the laptop to see what Clara had just been looking at.

Here's another one: how did Clara's personality get downloaded back into her body at the end, given that the hub was back at the Shard by then?

Probably best not to think too closely about these things, just go along with it and enjoy the ride.

There is a "significant"(?) quote " The one you told us about is here, the Doctor is here"

Richard E Grant has a cameo as the "Great Intelligence".

Are the two linked and is Richard E Grant going to be a Nemesis throughout the series - he makes a good Villain

(Edited:... and of course there is the further link with the Christmas special where he was also the villain)

However they are going to have to go some way to beat "No-one loves cattle like Burger King" or the 'Put your hands up if you are on FaceBook" lines

Well, it is filmed in Cardiff... ;)

The glaring error I noticed was when the lights in the houses were coming on - it was clearly raining in front of some houses and not others! Like I say, filmed in Cardiff.

And yes, the music was noticeably more intrusive than usual imo.

When they referred to Clara living in West London, I didn't realise they meant that far west.

The plot problems remind me of the Master / Doctor interaction in the http://www.youtube.com/v/Do-wDPoC6GM&rel=1 sketch, and the Joanna Lumley as Dr Who is ver similar to the reincarnation of River Song!

It may be time to start a petition about the background music. It's pretty much constant now ::-)

(Clara's accent seemed to slide about a bit. Is it her natural accent, or did she learn 'northern' for Emmerdale? :P )

Anyway, not a bad episode overall. This thread is full of the usual nitpicking*, and yet NOONE has mentioned the plain-text passwords. Call yourselves geeks?!?

Mostly, yes, but they use London locations and studios every now and again. There's a bit of effects work being shot at Wimbledon Studios (formerly Sunhill Police Station of The Bill fame) at the moment.
