Sub par edition, compounded by not being able to understand a freaking word the Silence were saying.  This detracted.  As did Nixon.

Nice teaser at the end.

The Amy pregnancy scan result was left ambiguous, I can't help thinking that's of some significance...

Gonzo : that is why Dr. Who is great :)

Rhys W: Peli said it could be the baby regenerating.

Plot - utter nonsense
Everything else - utterly brilliant

(Including surely the best ever use of the old joke: there's always a bit left over, isn't there?)

I like my science-fiction writing to be rather more cerebral than Bill & Ted ...
Well ... I can only assume that you acknowledge Bill and Ted's excellent spoofing of the whole over-used time-travel get-out patch, and are only referring to the general tone and dialogue when you say 'cerebral'.

Otherwise, Madame, we will be forced to disagree.

So why exactly did the Silence need a space suit? And why did they have to put the girl inside it?

My son laughed when River did her twirly shooty thing. And not in a good way. I think that sums it up for me. Very disappointing.

I didn't like the way they told the story out of order either. The resolution of last week's cliffhanger was handled particularly badly.

I'm surprised no one's rolled-eyes at the manner of River Song's...

I thought the episode was not too bad; as long as there's still some fun, surprises, and scares...

BTW I thought the execution style

What connections can we make between these two episodes and Silence in the Library?

Silence.
River Song.
People in spacesuits.
A little girl.

What else?

I've just watched the two episodes again back to back to see if I can make sense of them.

Yep, confused as heck here as well, though I did enjoy it, agree the speech for the Silents was hard to hear, etc, but overall has promise. I hope they don't go too far though, it was definitely straying into 'too clever for their own good' territory.

That line about the dream....oh I do hope we don't find that they cop out by having Amy dreaming all of this.

If we consider the Silents to be a parasite, then many parasitic relationships do have a partially symbiotic nature.

I wonder if the fall of the Silents has a negative effect somewhere... something they should have triggered and that won't happen now?
