in 1.5 hours I will have done my first 24 hours without a ciggy!

Well done!

Is it in any way linked to this? ;)

This morning there was a letter waiting for me at work.

A thank-you letter:

"thank you for giving blood three times a year"

I was well chuffed.  I just hope they don't make a habit of it or it'll loose the charm (I've been donating 3 times a year most years since I don't remember when, pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage and other gynaecological upsets excluded)

Coincidently Marj has had a cheque for £149 as refund for un-used peroid of insurance on the "old" Volvo which has been SORN-ed & won £59 on the lottery ;D

I had my first shower in 2 months...

... standing up that is without trying your darn hardest not to get water outside the bath top or on the drying equipment. The bathroom now only needs the ceiling fixed when that is dried up after the 4 leaks from upstairs.

We have now moved our bikes into the bike room since Peli's sister is not here anymore, so there is now room in the living room for the kitchen.

And we are now living in hope that the kitchen has been ordered (not like the last time were we were told a week later, out of stock) and the builders should hopefully come in tomorrow to start ripping out the old kitchen and then put in the old kitchen. And when that is done we got the carpet and the hallway to do.

I was cycling in Richmond Park tonight when a fast roadie type commented favourably on my fixed gear, called me a nutter, and asked if I raced.  O:-)

I was cycling in Richmond Park tonight when a fast roadie type commented favourably on my fixed gear, called me a nutter, and asked if I raced.  O:-)

But when he said fixed gear I don't think he was looking at your bike  :o and I think he misheard and asked if you were racy ;D

Nah, we keep ours in the fridge.

(I got a card this morning with an adult penguin surrounded by little baby fluffy penguins - inside after the message was a 'PS - This isn't a hint I want lots of little penguins!')  ;D

Corrected the punctuation! With a full stop that could be read entirely differently :)

Congratulations BTW
