We have an
Instromet installation. Just wind speed, direction, pressure and temperature.
The sender unit is mounted to a 'surplus to requirements' dinghy spinnaker pole bolted onto the side of our chimney stack.
Getting to the sender unit is a bit perilous, but I'm still young/stupid enough to do so if required. It was a wedding present in 1999 and I've had to bring it down a couple of times; once for a failed temp sender unit and the second to sort the noisy anemometer bearing out.
The display unit is in our hallway, so provides the perfect update for what's ahead of you when you set off cycling.
