Is anyone doing this? I see plenty of posts for previous years.

Six info controls? No thanks.

I had my most recent crash on that ride. 2010. About 15 k into the ride on a road I used to cycle to school on.

Nearly said yes but then I realised that this is the 3D you're talking about, not the 3Down, which is the one I'm actually doing. Confusing. If you are a bear of little brain, like me.

Well we all are a happy bunch, aren't we  :-\

It is a cracking ride and is a lot more sociable starting at 6am as opposed to the 2am it used to be run from.

Compared to the Hardboiled,  it is arguably a more sustained ride in terms of rolling landscape and fine views but despite the fact they are in roughly the same area and the same distance, I would recommend both rides as 'must dos' for anyone's calendar this year.

A ride report for both here

I didn't ride it (crashed), but I know most of the roads and I'd say it would be a cracker

It is a cracking ride

It looks it. It's one I've considered in the past, and maybe I'll ride it one day but it doesn't fit in with my plans this year.

The number of info controls wouldn't put me off - a few infos here and there are always worth it if it means a nicer route.

You don't have to bother with infos unless you want validation

I have to admit, I don't remember the info controls.

I just remember it being a great ride.
