It makes me laugh how this endeavour has basically turned into an Essex Wednesday Night Ride to the Pub.

... "turned into"?  ;D

Hmmm, my point exactly.  My delicate little system can't cope with returning home on Thursday morning and it pi55es Her Indoors off as well.  On a Friday night its fine, but not mid-week.  I think going forward the concept might need tweaking.  I suppose I could just head home after a pint or two.  No-one actually compels me to stay until we don't get thrown out.  I will have a think.

I'm washing my hair tonight so won't be out   ;)

Dunno if any of you fancy coming to my part of the world next Friday (18th) for some food and beer at the Haywain, Little Bromley. Thing is, it's my birthday and I thought I might go there. Just a thought!

Nice thought but we've got my Aged Parents visiting.

I'm racing on Saturday and have to live like a monk until then. ;) Happy B'day though. :)

I haven't decided exactly what I'm doing tbh; normally I make a big fuss about my birthday and make sure I'm in Germany for it, but this time I'm here. So I might just get James to take me out somewhere, but if people wanted a trip to a pub around here it would be good to have some company.

It looks like the usual suspects may be a bit thin in the ground this Wednesday night.

mrs_o is out, so I'm stuck in at home  :(.  chief is crocked.  Last I spoke to him, Tomsk didn't sound like he'd be out.  I guess Oscar's dad might have recovered enough by then, but equally he might be down south this week even if he's healthy again (and hasn't thrown his bike in a skip).

all of which is a shame since we've rolled round to another hosted ride:-

Sorry mike - I won't be able to make this one I'm afraid.  :-[

'Fraid I won't be out tonight either, as I'll be out biking to pubs for the next two evenings. And me a teetotaller!

23 Jun 2010   Bell Inn   Castle Hedingham

Pub is here. (website)

Who's in?  I'll probably be setting off direct from Witham Station at 19:15ish.  Looks like between 16 and 18 miles form Witham depending on the scenic-ness of the route.

Looks like this is the most Northerly of our pubs!

I'm definately getting out this week, not sure when. I'm waiting for the boss to work out when she's going out.

I might be able to do this - no Junior Chess Club this week. Will think about logistics.

I'm in.  Oaky, meet you at Witham station at 7:15pm?  Do you have a route in mind?  If not I don't mind weaving some Garmin magic.

I hadn't thought any further than witham - silver end - pattiswick via your favourite bit of trespassing.

Weave away!

I'm wondering about doing this, although it'd be my normal system of drive to the final pub and then ride to meet you all. Do we know where the final pub is though?

I am in the middle of sorting an amusing route. I have The Bell, Castle Hedingham as our final destination. It's about 20 miles so our ETA should be 9ish pm.

Well it's a possibility - I'll let you chaps know tomorrow. It might mean leaving home before the footie is finished, which might be a bit of an issue...
