i thought they were 89, then realised the tape was upside down.  68 - Immortality is mine.  Which is nice.

68cm. Either I'm really healthy or a fat biffer.  Or a combination of both.

Was wondering why my weight loss has stalled. And thinking that I'm leaner around the stomach, decided it better be on my thighs. And it is. They're now 60cm, which is the magic number. I guess rowing club + spending the winter on the turbo have done this.

57cm but how tight does one pull?

I don't have a car, cycle everywhere, everyday which includes a lot of hills - tres utilitarian. I don't want to live for ever - only as long as I can ride me bike

What I hadn’t realised until I read the original paper today was that 60cm is in the 90th percentile. So 9/10 people would not meet 60cm.

I imagine there are some cyclists whose thigh measurement is larger than their waist measurement. The young lady in the picture illustrating the BBC piece looks very unlikely to be a good example though. But hey, it's a good excuse to show a picture of a skinny young woman in just her pants, so that's OK.

61cm for me.

55 cm here. It's obviously rubbish: I haven't got... oh. Wait a minute.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

61cm for me.

Suspect when I was a young lady I had both waist and thighs around 26 inches.

I have aged but not extreme longevity (>100) in three of my four grandparents' families.

I am 60 and my mummy (82) still has an uncle (104).

I am unsure of the merits of outlasting all my friends.
