Ooh, I'd better go and lie on the fields near my chosen place with my 500mm lens watching for hares, then.  I am determined to get a hare photo one day!

My spring news is that Baggins has taken to thundering up and down the hallway like a spring lamb, all bouncy and silly.  He is 13.... (and he passed his MOT with flying colours today, and didn't even notice the vet stabbing him.)

And today three hares in the field behind us, resplendent in their summer orange-brown coats after a winter of grey colouring. Not seen any "boxing" yet tho.

Aw.  Haven't seen a single hare yet.
Milk please, no sugar.

I have. I ran over it in the car .

"Clump clump clump...."

fboab (wakes up): "What was that?"
me: "Nothing."

Sigh...

Spring is DEFINITELY sprung here - the crocusses are out in the garden! (as is the garden furniture...)

The One True Sign: the annual ant invasion of our kitchen has begun.  Two different species in two days.  Fascinating wee buggers but a bit wearing when you lift up a scouring pad and find a platoon scurrying about the underside, or put your hand down in the wrong place.

Natch, only discovered after the missus had decamped to the shops that the tube of ant gel is blowing gas like last year's rubber solution and her phone is still on her desk.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

There is a very slow patch of daffodils in Priory Park that still have not opened. Most have been in flower for a while so it must be a late variety.

There's some for sale round here as well. The trouble is it's in Waitrose and it's all from Peru and Mexico.

Sneezing and a runny nose yesterday have meant I'm back on the hayfever tablets as of last night. Must be spring. ::-)

According to the "Latest sightings" board on the Southend RSPB website, on 31st March two people saw swallows.

It snowed on Monday and sleeted and rained. Must be spring or it would have been snow and sleet all day.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I've just driven #2 son back into Carmarthen in time for this afternoons shift.  The display in the car read 18° all the way with a couple of 19° here and there.  :D

I can't wait to start complaining that it's too hot.  ;D
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

10°C here, Basil. It was sunny earlier - not warm, too much NE wind. I was dressed in warm garb while leafletting abd a couple of times the letterboxes which were in the sun were almost too hot to touch.

I've had Robins and Great Tits collecting moss from my 'lawn', presumably for nest lining purposes.

Lucky Ruthie! Though I did think I heard one last weekend, when it was horrid windy, but decided it couldn't have been.

Big sports bikes out in force today, as well as a few Old Britsters.
