Title: Kyle Blue, Wapping Wharf Floating hostel
Post by: Canardly on 06 September, 2021, 09:31:15 am
Anyone stayed on this boat/Dutch barge in Bristol? Is the foredeck or other secure area accessible for bike storage? Not sure that such a location lends itself to CV restrictions. It is only available sole use atm due to CV at £450 pn accommodating up to 30.

Many of the privately owned barges along there have bikes locked up on deck. If I remember, I'll go have a look at this one later and let you know.

Okay, just been down there. There is a fairly large open space at the bow which is uncovered but should be reasonably secure. Bikes could be locked to the boat's railings and the only way on (other than through the boat) would be to jump from the fence at the side of the gangplank.

Good luck trying to herd 30 cats together for one night. Especially if it's got anything to do with yacf members!

Thanks for that Cudzo. Well the thought did occur, it being an interesting and unusual venue, but CV still rages so one for another day perhaps.

The space doesn't look big enough for 30 bikes.
