Subject to validation of my 200 DIY today my total for this season is 35 and Im now on 700 points

Ideally Id boost towards 100,000km with a 100point season but Ive been saying that for a decade and never done it

Just realized I'd never tallied up my points: For 215 points (wonder if I can hit the 1/4 way mark this season)

200         52
300         9
400         7
600         5
1000         1
1200         1
Plus 1x Arrow @ 4 points
My notes say 263, having added 54 points this season.

941.  In fact 943 after todays ride.  Hoping to complete next Summer.

994 as at last week.

Fenland Friends this weekend should complete the 100,000.

I needed to go back to paper records for 93-99 and I am in correspondence with the recorder to provide backing data.   30 years.....I should probably get a new hobby.

Forgot to update this.  I was added to the list late Summer.

Well done Felstedrider
Subject to yesterday's 200 and LEL being validated I should have 68 points for the year which will take me to 689 points - not sure I'll make it to the 1000 points but next goal is Ultra Randonneur with only one more series needed.

I got 150 points this season taking me to a total of 900 points, hopefully should be R100,000 by next July.

congratulations, at a mere 279 I have many years to go, 720 at 60 points a year is 12 years, and this year is the only year when I passed 60 points

It took me the best part of 30 years.  Whilst there were no nul points years there was a 2 and a 4.  I have been more consistent as I have become older.

Having been effectively in retirement for the last 6 years I've just done a tally. 562.

Nah. I'll never make it.

Very few will ever make it. Most folk float into brevets, achieve their main targets and move on to other things e.g. most PBPers only ever finish one PBP. Not many rack up the big miles for decades and they usually miss out on doing other things. Such is life.

Oi!  I didn't 'go' for it, it just sort of happened.  I replied to something online (probably here somewhere) that I'd probably accumulated enough kms, and a certain Mr Crossland asked me to show my workings.  I'll have to think about what I might have missed out on ;)

The last four years have increased my total by 2 points!
At 645 points and age 75, I'll never make it either.
C'est la vie.

IMHO a significant achievement and well worth celebrating, obviously beyond most of us for a variety of reasons.  Chacun a son gout.

This thread made me go and have a look at the end of 2020 and I worked out it could be done by the end of this season.  I don’t think I set out down this road but it just sort of happened.  Others have achieved a lot more, but I’m happy with what I’ve done.

Your pretty lucky if you can keep riding through family and work commitments and avoid getting sick and/or injured.

330 pts in 6 seasons, however this included a first season with just 15 points and a low 2020 due to C19.

Hopefully another 10 years will get me there. As I've been doing more rides, I've been chasing more 1000+ events so these can get the tally up.
Living in Vietnam now also gives a 12 month good weather (bloody hot mind) riding season that helps with numerous events in neighbouring countries and DIYs here.

Perhaps I was thinking of myself, rather than others. I know that completing brevets has taken priority over cycle-camping, cycle racing and activities that had nothing to do with cycling. Brevets are certainly enjoyable but there isn’t life enough to do everything that we want to do. Something has to give somewhere.

But that applies to whatever choices you make in life.  Easy enough for me as I appear to have an endurance gene.

My annual update on progress. It's been a good year for riding and I did more than usual in preparation for PBP with 2 SRs but then didn't do PBP. Total BR/BRm distance for this year was 7800 which brings my total to 76700. Less than a quarter of the overall 100,000 total to go but still a long way and a lot of riding,
Cummalative total by ride length since 2013

200s - 209
300s - 44
400s - 19
600s - 12
1000s - 3
1200s - 2
>1400s - 1

I enjoyed the symbolism of picking up my 200th 200 earlier in the year.  Also secured the Ultra Randonneur award which had been a target since my first SR. Despite the late withdrawal from PBP, I am still enjoying it and hope to continue with SRs so maybe the 100,000 isn't out of reach ... maybe.

40 points for the 2023 year taking me to 740 - all but a handful accumulated in 21 years.

Long way to go but in audax terms I'm a yoof (59).  :D

I know of a prolific AUK who has just passed 2,000.

Rather paltry season, up to 30400km now (can't really use points anymore)

10% year, 774 + 77 -> 851 pts

Probably another 20pts that don't count many years ago including my first SR (SR2000) and a number of SSoSTs due to lack of membership. The last 5 point of the SR2000 count. Didn't start registering ECEs until 8 years ago when I thought a 200 ride out and back for a hilly winding 200 was worth it. ;D

Also done many unregistered transport 200+'s  mainly getting to holiday destinations in the Alps, Massif Central, Pyrenees, corners of the UK which I could have DIYed. Thinking about it I've done about 4 or 5 200+ Ardeshoise, 4 of those AVMs which would have been 300's if I'd registered the ECEs from/to the hotel. At least 100 point lost, I should have taken it seriously.

Still, a decade until retirement age so should get there.

I achieved R 100,000 in May this year, I'm on the Audax UK list & have purchased the cloth badge, at 66 can't see me doing it again, my inspiration was getting my name up there with some very good Randonneurs who are on the list, some of them are no longer with us.
