New health card replacing E111

Why plaster a Union Jack all over it. The way things are going visiting European health care units will be interesting if anyone needs treatment. Should be an option for your country flag.

Hmm. Same with new driving licence: two UJs, one small one where the star-circle was and one new, large one on the RHS.

It's just HMG being helpful and indicating to non-British agencies the potential arrogance and stupidity of the person that they are about to engage with.

I understand that training of said non-British agency staff includes speaking loudly and slowly in their own language then sneering at the document holder.

Aye.  Renewed my photocard a month or two back.  Christ, but it looks cheap and nasty.

I bet it was expensive and nasty! Probably a multi-million pound contract with a firm that just happens to have been set up earlier this year by Dominic Cummings' cousin or best mate, who is fully qualified because he got an E in Art GCSE and did ever so well in the printing module.

The UK driving license (along with other secure documents) is supplied by Thales…

…which is, of course, French.

E111/EHIC same result, show at hospital and all was well. Nice discreet logo the stars round a small UK. Not sure about the GLOBAL wording on the new card ?  I would imagine your credit card will more useful.

oh god, no amount of stickering will solve that designs problem like it does the driving licence one.
