My Nexus doesn't have a twiddle gear, I think. This is part of my problem! Allthough the way I've been besieged with visits lately, I won't have to pretend there's something wrong with my bike.

Clarion, Butterfly and I may be doing a Slow Lap.

Hopefully weather will improve. Will check thread later: will we go for  a 7 PM start?

I will see how the day pans out. Looking very, very busy at the moment, so I might not be able to leave until late.

7pm sounds about right, it being summer and all.

We may be lucky - still showery according to Metcheck

7pm at Roehampton Gate works for me

Will aim for 7 pm at Roehampton Gate but if weather turns for the worse I'll reconsider - will post here if not going. Showers at present; short but heavy.

Just when I was thinking of taking the mudguards off the Van Nicholas.

Just when I was thinking of taking the mudguards off the Van Nicholas.

What an odd idea. It's much easier to just buy another bike that doesn't have mudguards.

I love how it clouds over just as 5pm approaches.

I believe I'll still go. Does look potentially a bit wet.

Probably will as well, I'll make a call at 1815, I'll feel a little obsessive if I go out when it's hosing down :D

No can do. Going to the pub to watch the football, and then out with the in-laws on Wednesday.

More likely to be there early morning however I need to face up to the fact that I'm not going to be able to put in 75km both tomorrow and Wednesday to keep up my 600km/month.

I'm going to watch it from the turbo. :)

It's looking a bit wet for us, I'm afraid :(

If it fairs up, we might be there.
Getting there...

I've just had a soaking on the way home, so won't be there  :(

I'll be there at 7. Number of laps will vary from 0.5 to 3 depending on the rain...

I've gone too far now. Bike gear on. Bidon filled. Lights fitted. Minute adjustments made to bike that require testing if I am to sleep peacefully tonight...

You're going in solo! Good luck!

We'll send out a search party in a lifeboat if we don't hear from you :)

I commuted by bike today didn't I.  Remembered the waterproof jacket.  Forgot the rainlegs which I've not yet used in anger.  *looks over shoulder at 'koff big black cloud*

I was just packing up and thinking about fetching my kit when the post above sent me scurrying to the window. Its rather handy being officially in wimp mode, though of course, if I wasn't I wouldn't be thinking that at all, I'd be thinking "great, a chance to test my wet weather gear".

Wet weather.  Brings out all the cunts.  Works every time.
