I think I'm after more of a solo trip with quiet reflection, rather than a huge organised "nostalga tour".

A small group ride will still be acceptable.  But I think I'm mostly after seeing the area, getting more of an understanding, and having some quiet time to just sit and think about the difference between today and then.

That's the sort of thing I'm thinking of.  A small, Malta-type group.

If I go further with this I shall give you first dibs on a place Nutty, my dear - and I won't even insist on you sharing a tent with me...  ;)

More than happy to share a tent with you my dear lonely HomeAloneDug.

But Mrs Nutty shall be with me in my sleeping bag, and she'll probably be hoping that the tent is of this nature, and has individual compartments.

I did pose the possibility of a YACF Battlefields Tour some time ago.  Perhaps it is time to dust off the plans and move on with the preparations....
