For the second time in a year, a week or so after visiting the dentist's for a routine check-up I have suffered a bad toothache.
My teeth are mostly OK, although there is one stump which has been merely covered with amalgam ever since the Great WARTY Filling Incident. I have a theory that the dentist prodding about at my teeth, cleaning off plaque and then polishing them with that rotary gubbins machine actually causes small gum lesions which can lead to infection.
It's the root of the stump which is giving me jip, just as it did last time. I'm going back to the dentist's tomorrow for some antibiotics.
