Fortunately, in Tomsk and Oaky, we have founder members and mentors that we can look to for guidance and enthusiasm irrespective of the weather or what's on the telly.

Here here

I can't see the problem!  Anyone can make suggestions, there's no rule saying anyone has to follow said suggestions!

I can I think you would be in breach of Rule #2 Lead by example as in from your suggestion and route planned you would lead us round and get the trend going  :P

We are fortunate, blessed in fact, that Tomsk and Oaky are so diligent  All power to their elbows and Tomsk's dodgy knee.

May I respectfully refer the honourable pre-pubescent gentleman to post #8295 which I made earlier today.

On that note could I refer you all back to post #8118

On a seperate note Ted did note last night that there was some pre-pubescent behaviour displayed by certain members in your absence  :o They lacked the steadying hand you provide to the ship  ::-)

Any vessel dependent on my steadying hand on its tiller or wheel is doomed!  If it's lucky it will find itself in the harbour at Lowestoft (I thought I'd get that in before Oaky)   ;D

I am out this weekend, I'll probably try for a few early miles before meeting up with the Tiptree Velo mob on Saturday for a leisurely cake munching ride and on Sunday I am planning something bigger to enjoy my feet being wrapped in Goretex to hide from the snow.....note.....must buy gloves...tomorrow! I am thinking maybe possibly a run up to Newmarket

Oh yes, further to my suggestion which seemed to have some enthusiasm from others I am probably going to start a thread for a MEWEBS (Mid Essex Weekend Breakfast Series) very soon.

Good idea!  Will there be rules?

Well, obviously rule #1 will be that we have to get you home in time for Murder She Wrote.

Rule #3 the person that came up with 'said idea' will at least ride the first weeks route he plotted.......

### BEING SERIOUS FOR A MOMENT ... ###

Might I suggest it's The Mid-Essex Weekend Series which could include weekend rides taking place at any time of the day?

That can be your idea......I'm just going for the breakfast  ;D

Also, considering the title to this thread includes (plus random E Anglian stuff) I am not going to start a new thread, I'll just post it in here...that way ya can call it what ever you like.

As far as rules go.....everyone can have their own set of rules. Mine will include.....

1. Must order the largest breakfast available
2. If beer is available it must be ordered (and consumed) by the PINT (non of this half nonsense)

Also Mid Essex Weekend Breakfast Series - MEWBS is pronounced moobs which is definitely funnier than MEWS.

OK, fair enough, we'll just keep to the one thread - simplicity has it's virtues.

I still think DL and ted should have their own bitching thread.

Ted said he felt the thread may be a bit dull without our interaction on it or his continuing efforts to not be awarded the MEMWNS Trophy!

''a bit dull'' might not get the MEMWNS thread above 'have you been out today' which I believe was going to be Ted's claim to fame  :o I was merely helping him achieve this where others weren't  O:-)
