Mrs AndyC333333333333’s brother and family, he is 6’7 if that answers your question?

I am going to try for an early night in the hope that I might somehow make it to York on Saturday morning

Thursday night will be a late one as I’m sure the Flyer will be having a full overhaul/refitting.

Ah, talking of Flyers...I may have a bit of a confession to make  :-[

Being the unselfish chap that I am, I have (probably) decided to give up the personal glory of riding fixed for the good of the ACME Anvils.  In this case it is better to arrive than to travel hopefully - or something.

Team Col Velo have looked at the impending doom forecast for Good Friday/Saturday and I suspect while you are all on your way to York I will be in bed nice and warm. I have even sorted a DIY for my RRtY, such is the expectation. To be honest, I did nothing to try and discourage this behaviour, my whole excitement was driven by the fact it was a late March Arrow which meant it would be warm and nice. This year I have little intention to do anything uber 'Epic'.

I'm not going to be out tonight, I'm in London on training until 18:30 so I'm going to hang around here for the free beers on offer after that.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Just me meeting Tomsk at the Compasses this evening then, that brings back weather related memories

I should be at the roundabout.  I’m leaving L’pool Street in a few minutes.

Does this non-audaciousness extend to any of the ACME Arrow teams??  The weather forecast for Friday looks positively warm compared to most riding experienced this winter  :P

I’m still planning to be at the Compasses around 10pm, a little dependent upon how soon my volleyball game lasts.

I *might* be tempted to use the team car facility as the jack is readied for a damp start and finish (with some glorious sunshine somewhere in the midlands......... )

That said, I still need to organise the packing for the weekend so maybe that puts pay to that idea

I'm not nervous about my Arrow team whatsoever ... one 'pair' have declared they are somewhat lacking in miles, one rider has quick release cranks, one rider is still building his bike, and one is engrossed in packing. I'm sure it'll all come good on the day.

If you change your mind Jason, 10pm is looking good for a quick drink.

And our Director Sportive is having to drag his historic machine out from the back of the shed because all his current steads are broken.

Will it be trusty,
Or is it rusty,
We'll have to wait and see......

Oh, that's a low blow even for a Hustler  ;D

Just in case you need reminding, I managed not to complete my RRTY.  You couldn't even succeed in that simple task.  Now, to compound matters, you have led Huggy into the same cycle (geddit) of failure.

I've got a couple of weeks coming up when I cannot make a Wednesday evening, so I checked the forward planning calendar to make sure there weren't any venues in my locality.

Apr 04 - Aythorpe Roding - I can make it :)
Apr 11 - Maldon - I can make the date, but not sure if I can get across to Maldon (beer festival week)
Apr 18 - Chignall St James - I cannot make the date
Apr 25 - Messing - I cannot make the date
May 2 - Maldon - I can make the date, but not sure if I can get across to Maldon

I've got the following suggestion. Could we change the order of the latter 3 venues thus:

Apr 18 - Messing
Apr 25 - Maldon
May 2 - Chignall St James

There is live music on at the Three Elms in Chignall St James on 18th April. So if the intent was to listen to the live music, then I would say keep the order as it is. But otherwise, the reordering may work well.
